ImageFor many, the New Year signalsthe start of a better year, complete with new hopes, new dreams, and maybe thatshiny new car they’ve been eyeing all year long. But for those whose life is adaily struggle, the changing calendar year hardly makes a difference.

‘Dreams Come True’, a TVprogramme for Chinese New Year sponsored by Munchy Food Industries Sdn. Bhd.,hopes to change that—for three underprivileged individuals, at least.

Starting a month ago,candidates were sourced from various welfare homes and charity bodies aroundthe Klang Valley and asked about their dreams. Thethree most deserving candidates from three generations—a child, a young adultand a senior citizen—were then chosen.

To heighten the suspense, thethree selected individuals will not know anything about the programme or theirselection until the live recording this Friday, 19 January 2007 at SunwayPyramid’s main concourse area. There, they will be brought onto the stage andsurprised with their fulfilled dreams. The public is invited to attend therecording, which will be hosted by actress Miao Miao and popular children’sgroup DoReMi. Guests will be entertained with sketches and songs, whileshoppers will also be treated to goodies from Munchy’s and a Chinese New Yearcooking demonstration by the personal chef of the Sultan of Brunei. Therecording will begin at 7pm.

ImageFor those interested to catch the show, ‘DreamsCome True’ will be aired on 18 February 2007, the first day of Chinese New Yearover RTM2.

Aside from the production of the video itself,R&J Media Resources is also involved in media planning for the entireproject. Tying up corporate sponsorship deals, liaising with the press andmedia, and advertising and promotion strategies are all conceptualized andplanned in-house.
